Who We Are
I'm Anna, I have been crazy about animals since I was a young girl. I worked in a pet shop as a teenager, I volunteered at the SSPCA centre in Balerno and then after falling in love with the Boxer breed, I volunteered and fostered dogs for Boxer Welfare Scotland.
I originally come from nursing in the NHS and as much as I love nursing, it has been a dream of mine to do dog walking and therefore I have set up my own business as Scenter Barcs.
I have two dogs of my own, a Boxer who I've had since he was a pup and a Pug who is a rescue. I couldn't imagine a life without dogs in it.
28/10/2024 We now have a new boxer pup, Ridley, who is 6 months old who joined the family after Indi passing last year. Thanks to this line of business he has been very well socualised and loves new friends coming for their holidays!
Who We Are
Hi I'm Grant,
Dogs have always been a part of my life growing up. I currently have an amazing French Bulldog, George, who we have had since a pup who you can see at the back in the photo opposite.
I was a taxi driver for City Cabs for 15 years, and although it pays well, its not something I was passionate about. After watching Anna grow the business and joining her on dog walks I realised this is something that I would also love to do and it was the best decision I made.
Dog walking, boarding and day care
Here at Scenter Barcs we offer a high quality dog walking service by registered dog walkers. We hire an enclosed dog field at Unleashed in Cousland for our one hour dog walks in the morning and afternoon Monday to Friday where your dogs can run free with other dogs, great for dogs needing socialized and great for dogs where recall is not so great.
Your dog will get the chance to play and socialise with other furry friends for a minimum of one hour. They will be collected in our fully fitted doggy bus which has ample cage space, light and air.
Our boarding and day care premises have been inspected by Edinburgh Council and we are fully licenced and insured for this. We know how important your dog is to you and therefore will aim to provide the best care and give them adventurous varied wonderful walks nearby as well as using the enclosed dog field we hire out during the week.
Your dog will be welcomed into our home and will be treated like part of the family with lots of cuddles after long walks during the day.

Canine first aid trained
I am first canine first aid trained by Rhodes 2 Safety and can perform emergency life saving care to your dogs in the unlikely event of anything happening whilst in my care.
Transportation
Dogs will be picked up and dropped off in our fully equipped van with secure cages, ventilation and lighting.
Insurance
We are fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary.
