About us
Established in 2021, Scenter Barcs started as a dog walking and home boarding service in the South of Edinburgh. We have since then expanded to offer a dog daycare service at our new site at Cousland, midlothian. Here we can offer your dogs the opportunity to socialise, get physical excersise and mental stimulation, including oportunuties to play and interact with others in a safe supervised enclosed enviroment.
Day care and home boarding.
At our daycare site at cousland, Midlothian we provide a fun, safe and secure experience for you dogs. Your dog will get the chance to play and socialise with other furry friends. Our daycare provides both indoor and outdoor heated areas with large outdoor area fitted out with pay equipment and a sensory garden, perfectly suited for needs of different breeds.
They will be collected in our fully fitted doggy bus which has ample cage space, light and air. Pick ups and drop off with the doggy bus are from Edinburgh South East and East Lothian. Someone will be on sight from 8am until 5pm for dropping off and picking up by the clients. With prior arrangement these times can be altered.
Our day care and home boarding premises have been inspected by Midlothian Council and we are fully licenced and insured for this. We know how important your dog is to you and therefore will aim to provide the best care and give them adventurous varied wonderful walks nearby for home boarding and day care during the week.
Your dog will be welcomed into our home and will be treated like part of the family with lots of cuddles after long walks during the day.

Who We Are
Anna - Owner and Director
I have been crazy about animals since I was a young girl. I worked in a pet shop as a teenager, I volunteered at the SSPCA centre in Balerno and then after falling in love with the Boxer breed, I volunteered and fostered dogs for Boxer Welfare Scotland.
I originally come from nursing in the NHS and as much as I love nursing, it has been a dream of mine to work with dog therefore I set up my own business as Scenter Barcs starting out as a dog walker and building to a licensed Dog Daycare.
As the founder of our dog daycare, I am passionate about providing a structured, safe, and enriching environment for dogs of all breeds and personalities. With a focus on wellbeing, supervision, and positive experiences, I'm committed to giving owners peace of mind and dogs a day they look forward to.

Our Manager is at the heart of the daycare, making sure every dog feels safe, happy and part of the pack. With a genuine love for dogs and a calm, caring approach, they ensure each pup gets the attention, play, and care they deserve every single day.
